Refund policy.
We try to make our refund framework predictable, generous in the early days, and pragmatic later on. The point is to remove the financial worry from a decision about whether the stream is right for you.
Last updated: 6 May 2026.
The short version
- You have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date you confirm a place. During that period you can cancel for any reason and receive a full refund of any deposit paid, less a small administrative fee of RM 80.
- If you cancel after the cooling-off period but before the cohort begins, you can choose between a 75% refund of fees paid, or a 100% deferral of fees to a later cohort.
- If you cancel during the first three weeks of a stream, we offer a 50% refund of fees paid, or 100% deferral.
- After the third week of the stream, fees are not refundable, but a deferral may still be agreed in good faith for medical or compassionate reasons.
The longer version, with worked examples
Cooling-off (the first 14 days)
You confirm a place by paying the deposit. From the day we receive that deposit, you have fourteen days to change your mind. If you do, we will return the deposit to the same account we received it from, less an administrative fee of RM 80 to cover the bank fees and the seat we held. We will process the refund within seven working days of your written cancellation.
After cooling-off, before the cohort begins
If your cohort has not yet started and you are past the cooling-off period, you may cancel and choose between (a) a 75% refund of any fees paid to date, or (b) a deferral of 100% of the fees to a later intake of your choice. A deferral must be used within twelve months of the original cohort start date.
Worked example: you have paid a RM 1,600 deposit and the first instalment of RM 1,600 (total RM 3,200), and decide to cancel three weeks before classes begin. Your refund option is RM 2,400; your deferral option is the full RM 3,200 held against a future cohort.
During the first three weeks of a stream
If you have begun the stream and decide within the first three weeks that it is not for you, you may cancel and choose between (a) a 50% refund of any fees paid to date, or (b) a 100% deferral against a future intake.
After the first three weeks
Beyond the third week, fees are not refundable. We will however, in good faith, consider a deferral against a future intake on medical or compassionate grounds, supported by a brief statement from a medical practitioner where appropriate.
How to ask for a refund or deferral
Send a short email to [email protected] with your full name, the cohort and stream you are enrolled in, and a sentence describing what you would like to do. The academy administrator will reply within three working days with a confirmation and, where relevant, a refund timeline.
If we cancel a cohort
In the unlikely event that we have to cancel a cohort before it begins, we will offer you a full refund of all fees paid to date, or a place in the next intake at no additional cost — your choice. We will tell you which we think is more useful for you, and respect whichever you choose.
Continuing-education and corporate-day fees
Continuing-education evening sessions are non-refundable but transferable to another evening or to another graduate. Corporate-day fees paid by an organisation are governed by the contract that organisation signs with us; this consumer-facing policy does not apply to them.
